Carlos Alcaraz has claimed his first Roland-Garros title and the third Grand Slam trophy of his career, with a thrilling five-set victory over Alexander Zverev on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
The 21-year-old Spaniard fought back from two sets to one down, ultimately triumphing in an emotionally charged final with a score of 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 after four hours and 19 minutes of intense play.
Alcaraz appeared to be in a precarious position after losing the third set despite leading 5-2 and having the chance to serve for the set at 5-3. However, he rebounded remarkably in the fourth and fifth sets, showcasing his resilience and skill on the iconic Parisian red clay.
