Carlos Alcaraz defeated Sebastian Korda in a convincing fashion 6-3, 6-4 to set up a final match with Alex de Minaur.
The Spaniard will have a golden chance to regain his No.1 spot, which he lost during the French Open, if he emerges victorious on Sunday.
Should that happen Alcaraz will be the top seed for Wimbledon in front of Novak Djokovic.
“At the beginning of the week I didn’t know that a good result would put me number one but in the press conference yesterday they told me and I thought ‘oh my god – it’s in my mind, I’m going to go for it’,” Alcaraz said after his win over Korda.

It is Alcaraz’ only third tournament on grass and this will be his first final.
The Spaniard will be fully determined to lift the Queen’s trophy as it will be the best possible preparation for the upcoming Wimbledon, which starts on July 3.
