World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz will play at the Paris Masters and the ATP Finals in Turin, the 20-year-old Spaniard announced after pulling out of this week’s Basel event with injury.
The Wimbledon champion is off with inflammation in his left leg and problems with the gluteal muscles. “I have good news! I’m feeling better every day and I’ll be playing in Paris and in Turin for the ATP Finals! I’m looking forward to finishing the year on a high!” Alcaraz wrote on the X social network.
The Spaniard won his third and fourth Masters 1000 titles in Indian Wells and Madrid this year, but fell short in Cincinnati in an epic final against Novak Djokovic. He relinquished his world ranking lead to the Serb at the US Open, where he lost in the semi-finals.
