The English defender sustained the problem during past weekend’s 2-0 FA Cup 3rd round victory vs. Arsenal.
“Alexander-Arnold hyperextended his knee during the last match, so he has a little tear in the lateral ligament of his knee, and he will be out of the pitch until he recovers,” shared the Reds assistant Pep Lijnders.
“Trent underwent a scan and will be out for a couple of weeks. We will have more information after this period.”
The Liverpool assistant added: “It is very unpleasant as Trent was 1 of our most important footballers. Even in bad periods, he was the 1 putting the balls where we needed to change the tempo.
“We must find new dynamics without Trent because he made our performance flexible, but hopefully, he will return within a month.
