LA Rams authorized Steelers to test the veteran, and if the team is satisfied with the outcome, the two teams will finish the deal.
Allen (29) played 10 matches for the team from Los Angeles last year. He carried thirty-three receptions for 339 yards and had 3 TDs.
Robinson inked a 3-year, 46.5 million dollar contract with the Rams before the start of the last season. Before that, Allen had been part of the Chicago Bears for 4 years.
