Alvarez’s goal secures Man. City’s victory against Newcastle

Manchester City won against Newcastle 1-0 at Etihad and joined Brighton as the only teams with 2 victories from the first 2 matches in the Premier League.

The Sky Blues triumphed in the Super Cup a few days ago against Seville, and despite that, Pep Guardiola didn’t make any substitutes during the whole match and still won.

Julian Alvarez scored the 1^st and only goal in the match with a fantastic shot after Phil Foden’s assist.

Newcastle had a few chances to score, but the final pass was the big problem tonight for the Magpies as Man. City were the better side overall.
