Ruben Amorim has revealed that nothing will make him not trust his 3-4-3 formation at the Red Devils, despite having the worst win percentage as the head coach of the team since the Second World War.
Amorim secured the victory in only 8 of his 31 EPL matches at the helm, and his formation was heavily criticized. But the Portuguese boss claimed even the Pope could not persuade him to change the way he plays.
😅 Rúben Amorim is asked if he wants to change his system and if it came up in his meeting with Sir Jim Ratcliffe:
“No, no, no. Not even the Pope or someone, it will not… this is my job and my responsibility, my life.” ❌

The Red Devils’ problems continued after the international break as they lost the derby against Man City 3-0 and have won only 4 points from their opening 4 matches in the Premier League. However, that doesn’t mean that Ruben will change his tactical views and try something new.
“I will not change my style. Not even the Pope could make me change my formation,” claimed the Manchester United manager. “That’s why I’m here as head coach, and I decide how to play. So, I will not change anything. There will be an evolution, but we must make it right. If I change my formation now, the footballers will not trust me.”
