Follow usReal Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted that he considers Manchester City the big favorite to win the Champions League and said he hopes that his side will go as far as possible in the tournament.
“Our goal is to fight until the very end of the tournament. First we have to get through the groups, then the round of 16 and the quarterfinals. I think we can say that we are capable of entering the top 4 without feeling too much pressure,” he said at his press conference today.
Ancelotti was also asked to comment on whether Manchester City are favorites to win the tournament. “Yes, they are favorites because they have the squad that brought them the trophy last season and they have hardly changed it. But there are always surprises in the final stages of the Champions League. We have never considered ourselves favorites, nor do they at City. I said that only because they are the current champion”, he adds.
