Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed claims that there is a deadline, imposed on him to decide whether to become the new Brazil manager.
The Italian has constantly been linked with the job ever since former Brazilian coach left the position after the World Cup defeat in December.
The 64-year old, however, has remained firm in his position that he plans to see out his contract with his current club Real Madrid, which expires at the end of next campaign in 2024.
Rumours have been circulating that Ancelotti has been given the deadline of May 25 to decide whether to take Brazil or not, but the Italian said that there is no such thing and that he hasn’t even held talks with Brazil representatives.
‘I’ve already said that I’m not talking about my future. But, I’ll answer: the deadline is nonsense. There is no deadline because I never… I haven’t talked to anyone.’ he said.
‘I am very excited that Brazil wants me, but I have to respect the contract with Madrid, which I want to fulfil’
