Andreescu beats Azarenka 2:1 sets to advance to French Open 2nd round

Bianca Vanessa Andreescu, world number 42, defeated world number 18, Viktoria Azarenka, by 2:1 sets and reached the 2^nd round of the Roland-Garros.

Azarenka won the 1^st set easily, 6-2, and the Belarusian player had a 3-1 lead in the 2^nd set. However, the Canadian won 5 straight games after that to end up winning the 2^nd set 6-3.

In the deciding set, one break was enough in the 3^rd game for Andreescu to triumph 6-4 in the 3^rd set and eliminate Victoria from the French Open.

In the next round, Bianca will play against world number 75 Emma Navarro, as this will be the 1^st match between them, and the Canadian is the favorite to win.
