Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani were the heroes for the Angels as Trout scored on a game-ending wild pitch, while Ohtani registered his 26th home run of the season.
Trout drew a leadoff walk against Reynaldo López. Bummer then came in to face Ohtani, who executed his own walk. The star duo successfully executed a double steal, which set up Trout’s wild pitch and the team’s second walk-off win on a wild pitch this season.
Carlos Estéves pitched a scoreless ninth inning to get the win.
Luis Robert Jr. homered for the third straight game for the White Sox, who got only one runner into scoring position.
