Anthony Joshua said he will retire from boxing if he loses to Jermaine Franklin on Saturday at the O2 Arena.
The two-time world heavyweight champion returns to the ring this weekend to face the American after back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
Joshua will be looking for his first professional success since December 2020, but admitted he will retire from boxing if he is defeated for the third time in a row.

“Yes. I’ll give up if I lose. I’m not here to fight people. If people want me to retire, I will. I won’t fight if people don’t want me to fight. It’s not even about the money. It’s about the fighter in you. This is important. Tensions come with the business and the territory, I know. I know that when I stop boxing, I will rest. I’ll say to myself “fuck everyone”. I’m done. You put so much pressure on me that by the time I’m done, the shackles will have fallen off. I’m going to laugh and love life,” commented AJ.
