An official offer is yet to be made, but Brentford are fully aware of the Gunners’ interest.
Reports suggest that Nottingham Forrest are considering to acquire Arsenal’s second-choice goalkeeper Matt Turner and that has led the Premier League runners-up to search for a replacement.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have also emerged as surprise candidates for Raya’s signature with the Bavarians set to make a loan offer.
The Bees are believed to be requiring a £40m transfer fee for the Spaniard, who earlier this month informed the team he wants to leave in search of silverware.
Brentford already declined an offer from Tottenham Hotspur and it seems they will be playing it hardball over the 29-year-old transfer.
