Bukayo Saka, who was doubtful according to the manager Arteta, scored the 1^st goal in the 17^th minute. At the end of the 1^st half, Martin Odegaard converted a penalty to double the lead for the visiting side.

Kai Havertz scored his 1^st goal for the Gunners in the 53^rd minute from a penalty. The last goal in the clash netted Ben White in the additional time.
