Gabriel headed the ball after a corner, and Karius saved, but the ball hit Sven Botman as he scored an own goal to give Arsenal the lead in the 18th minute. Only 6 minutes later, Gabriel Martinelli provided a phenomenal assist to Kai Havertz, and the German strike inside the box went into the Magpies net for the 2nd in the match.
Arteta’s side continued to dominate until the end of the 1st half, but only luck saved the away team from conceding more goals.

At the beginning of the 2nd half, Havertz missed a golden opportunity to score his 2nd goal in the match after his shot went inches wide of the right post.
However, Bukayo Saka made it 3-0 for the Gunners in the 65th minute after a fantastic strike from inside the box as only 4 minutes later, Arsenal were leading 4-0 after Declan Rice assisted from the corner to Jakub Kiwior, who headed the ball into Karius’ net.
