The Gunners paid 43 million dollars for Timber, who suffered the awful injury in his debut in the Premier League as the injury happened at the beginning of the 2nd half against Nottingham Forest.
The club gave no timescale when he will be able to play competitive matches again, but given the problem that he has most likely he will be unavailable for at least 6 months.
The player shared on social media that he is said that his injury was more serious than expected and that it broke his heart that he would not be able to help Arsenal shortly on the pitch. Timber added that he will return even stronger and hope to achieve great things with his new London club.
Arsenal have until the end of the month to ink a new player if they think a replacement is needed.
