Mikel Arteta shares that his team is “exactly where we want to be” in every tournament despite criticism after the draw vs. last-placed Wolverhampton two days ago.
The North London club allowed a goal in the extra time as the Wolves fought back from 2 goals behind to win a point and to give a chance to Man City to make the Gunners’ lead at the top of the Premier League only 2 points tomorrow.
Arsenal are still in control of their own destiny as they chase a 1st championship since 2004, with a 5-point advantage over the Sky Blues, but have played 1 more game than Guardiola’s team.
“We must live in the present,” Arteta revealed. “What we have achieved in the past is good, but we must live in the present, and the present is phenomenal.
“Our team still has a chance to win every trophy possible, and we must focus now to earn it as we have done in the past 7 or 8 months.”
Arsenal’s manager added that his team will be looking to channel both the disappointment vs. Wolverhampton and the emotion of their North London derby against Tottenham at the weekend.
🚨 Mikel Arteta: “I was a player. Love me when I draw or when I lose. To love you when I win is very, very easy”.
