Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta claimed goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale had shown courage after making 2 mistakes during the 1st half of his return from the 1st minute on the net of the Gunners in the North London side’s 1-0 win against Brentford today.
Kai Havertz became the hero with his late goal to send his team to the 1st in the Premier League, but Ramsdale, given his 1st start in EPL since September, made the headlines after the game.
“I’m very proud… it’s a big number at a big club”

The English goalkeeper is now the 2nd choice for Arteta behind David Raya but had the chance to play today against Raya’s former side as Brentford still owns his rights, and he could not face them in the Premier League. However, Ramsdale almost gave a goal away in the 1st half, as only luck saved him from allowing a goal.
Despite that, Arsenal’s manager defended him:
“Courage. Ramsdale has big courage and a big personality, which will make him an even better goalkeeper.”
