Aston Martin is planning upgrades for their cars for the Canadian Grand Prix in mid-June. In Barcelona, the team faced a difficult race, with both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll finishing behind Mercedes and Ferrari in the head-to-head battles on the track, and Aston Martin had nothing new for the Spanish Grand Prix.
Speaking to the media, Alonso urged Aston Martin to speed up the process of updating the AMR23, as the team’s rivals have made a number of improvements to their cars in the last two starts and this has affected their performance.
“Fernando is absolutely right to push us to develop the car and to use new elements – commented team boss Mike Krack. – We will have some new things in Canada. This will be a step forward.”, he said.
