Aubameyang officially signs for Marseille

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has completed his move to Marseille after just one year at Chelsea.

The transfer fee is unknown, but many believe it could be as low as  £5m.

The move means the Gabonese striker departs the Premier League for the second time in 18 months after he joined Barcelona from Arsenal in January 2022.

The 34-year-old did not impress for the Blues as injuries plagued his season and limited his playing time. Aubameyang made 22 starts in total, scoring 3 times.

The Gabonese could not replicate his fine form he showed at Barcelona and struggled under the constant managerial change at Stamford Bridge. He was omitted from the Champions League squad and that seems to have signaled his exit.

He will make his return to France for the first time since 2015, where he left for Borussia Dortmund.
