Lonzo Ball didn’t play in the past 2 years due to a meniscus problem
He has 1 year remaining on his 4-year, 85 million-dollar contract that he inked with Chicago in 2021. Ball opted into his 21.4 million dollar player option for the upcoming campaign.
Lonzo announced that he is finally ready to return to the court and compete again after the meniscus injury.
His return is fantastic news for the Bulls. The franchise acquired him in 2021 to construct a championship-caliber team. Since joining the organization from the Pelicans, though, he has appeared in only 35 matches.
After being sidelined for 2 seasons, we can’t predict his level or whether we will see him play exactly the same way that he did before his injury. If Ball plays great perimeter defense and reveals his high-IQ playmaker, he could help Chicago’s offense next campaign.
