Olise joined Crystal Palace from Reading in July 2021 for £8 million. His performances attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Newcastle United, but he ultimately chose to join Bayern Munich. At Bayern, Olise will be working under the guidance of new manager Vincent Kompany.
Expressing his excitement about the move, Olise stated, “I’m very happy to now be playing for such a big club – it’s a great challenge and that’s exactly what I was looking for. I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in ensuring we win as many titles as possible in the coming years.”
Last season, Olise scored 10 goals in 19 Premier League appearances, helping Crystal Palace to a 10th-place finish. His move to Bayern Munich represents a significant step in his career as he looks to compete at the highest levels of European football.
