The Cincinnati Bengals made a deal with their division rivals for a much-needed solution at QB, acquiring Joe Flacco in a trade with the Cleveland Browns.
The Bengals also got a 6th-round draft selection while the Browns landed a 5th-round selection in the deal, which became official today.
Cincinnati looked for a quarterback after the organization’s QB Joe Burrow sustained a toe injury in their 2nd match this season. Jake Browning hasn’t performed at the highest level since replacing Joe, throwing 8 picks in the last 4 matches.
Joe Flacco getting traded from the Browns to the Bengals is the third intradivision trade involving a quarterback this century, per ESPN’s @EpKap.

Flacco joins the Bengals 48 hours after the franchise lost its 3rd consecutive clash with Browning, who threw 3 more picks in the past weekend’s 37-24 defeat vs. the Lions. The Bengals had been outscored, 113-37, during the 3-match skid.
Cincinnati boss Zac Taylor didn’t comment when he was asked about Browning and if the quarterback will keep his starting position for the next game of the franchise. The head coach of the Begnals admitted that rumors about Jake were fair, as he had a lot of turnovers in the matches that he was on the field.
