The Cincinnati Bengals will trust the newly acquired QB Joe Flacco from the 1st minute on the field vs. the Green Bay Packers, manager Zac Taylor revealed today.
Cincinnati acquired the experienced QB and next year’s 6th-round selection from the Browns yesterday in exchange for next year’s 5th-round draft selection.
This will be the 2nd time in 4 weeks that the 40-year-old quarterback starts a match vs. Green Bay. Flacco started against the same opponent in Week 3 as Cleveland’s QB, and the Browns won 13-10.
For the Bengals, the experienced QB will replace Jake Browning, who started the last 3 matches in place of QB1 Joe Burrow, who is injured. However, Cincinnati was defeated in all of the games that Browning started, as he has thrown 8 picks since becoming the starting quarterback of the team.
That’s why the Bengals head coach decided that there is no more time to be wasted, and he will give the starting position to Flacco despite the fact that he joined the team 24 hours ago.
