2018 World Cup winner Benjamin Mendy signed a two-year deal with French soccer club Lorient on Wednesday days after the former France international was found not guilty of raping a woman and the attempted rape of another.
The 29-year-old Mendy became a free agent in the end of last month after his Manchester City contract expired. He had not played a professional game since 2021 when his court battle started.
