The Buffalo Bills have sacked head coach Sean McDermott after another campaign that they failed to make it to the Super Bowl.
Buffalo GM Brandon Beane is being retained. He will be part of the process to select a new manager for the organization to lead Buffalo in its debut campaign in its new stadium.

The team lost 33-30 against the Broncos in the AFC divisional round to cap another disappointing campaign. It was the 4th time in 5 years that Buffalo lost in the divisional round.
Sean leaves the Bills with a 98-50 record, with an 8-8 mark in the playoffs, featuring 2 AFC championship defeats against the Chiefs. McDermott won 5 straight AFC East titles from 2020 to 2024, finishing 2nd behind the Patriots in the current campaign.
McDermott could emerge as a head coaching candidate for other organizations in the league, as the manager already told his close friends that he wants to continue to coach in the NFL.
The defeat against Denver continued Buffalo’s streak of not reaching the Super Bowl since losing 4 consecutive games from 1990 to 1993.
