Leader Bruins moved 5 points ahead of 2nd placed Panthers. Both organizations have 4 matches until the end of the regular campaign as Florida will play all of them at their venue.
“It’s another huge match, another postseason-type match vs. organization that will part of the playoffs and those matches aren’t hard to get up for,” shared the Bruins center Charlie Coyle, who scored a power-play goal in the 2nd period.
Charlie McAvoy also notched for Boston, who improved to 5-1 since manager Jim Montgomery criticized the organization during training at the end of the past month for not being prepared for the postseason.
