After the 1st two periods, everything looked very well for the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the East Conference finals. Celtics were leading 66-57 at TD Garden at halftime and were close to winning the 1st match in the series.
However, in the 3rd period, Boston’s franchise looked nothing like the team from the 1st 24 minutes as Miami scored 46 points in the 3rd period as the home team answered with only 25. Nevertheless, the Floridian franchise had no problem closing the match in the 4th period and taking the home-court advantage in the matchup.
“It’s only our fault,” the Celtics’ player Jaylen Brown answered when asked what happened in the 2nd half. “We looked nothing like the team from the 1st half. We came out too aristocratic. It was like we didn’t play in the finals but a regular season match. It’s the East Conference finals. So, like, wake up.”
