Seven-time NFL champion Tom Brady has finalized a deal to acquire a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, Sports Illustrated reported.
The 45-year-old Brady, who announced his retirement from the football field in the spring, is taking part of the shares of the majority owner of the Raiders, Mark Davis. The deal still needs to be formally ratified by the owners of the other NFL clubs, but that won’t happen at this week’s Minneapolis CEOs meeting.
Brady recently bought another stake in Davis’ team, the Las Vegas Aces of the Women’s National Basketball Association.
On February 1, after 23 seasons as the quarterback of the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady ended his playing career. However, he already has a long-term job secured. From 2024, his contract with Fox as a television commentator comes into force. It is for 10 years and worth a total of 375 million dollars.
