The left-back suffered the problem in Brentford’s loss against Newcastle 1-0 at St James’ Park this past weekend.
The defender fell awkwardly after a tussle for possession with Kieran Trippier.
His side’s medical director, Neil Greig, shared that Henry will undergo an operation in the next few days and be sidelined for a long time.
Rico previously suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee vs. Middlesbrough in September 2017, and as a result, he didn’t play for over a year.
The medical chief added that the left-back has been through a similar situation and will use his experience from the unpleasant period to get back as strong as possible as soon as possible.
