Brighton have rejected another Chelsea bid, believed to be around £80m for Moises Caicedo.
The team has stated its position firmly, implying that they are keen on keeping Caicedo.
The 21-year-old midfielder is currently with the Seagulls in New Jersey as part of the team’s pre-season tour.
Caicedo is high on the priority list for Chelsea, but Brighton are playing it hardball at the moment and are keeping their starlet player.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi stated that he plans to use Caicedo for next season.
The young Ecuadorian was an integral part of the team that finished sixth in the Premier League, securing an Europa League group-stage spot,
Earlier in the year Caicedo asked his team to leave, but they kept him and in March he signed a new deal.
