Bronny James revealed he will welcome any assignment in his 1st campaign in the league, as long as it comes with the opportunity to be on the court and to improve as a basketballer.
“I’m just looking forward to being on the court — no matter what level I’m competing at,” Bronny claimed after the LA Lakers’ 99-80 defeat against Houston Rockets in Los Angeles’ opening match in the Las Vegas Summer League yesterday.
The son of LeBron was asked about the chance to spend time in the G League after Rockets’ Cam Whitmore – the 20th selection in past year’s draft – had 20 points, 10 boards, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
In his debut season, Cam competed in 13 matches for Rockets’ G League affiliate — the Rio Grande Valley Vipers — and averaged almost 27 points, 7 boards, 3 assists and over 2 steals.
After notching 6 points to put Lakers up 13-10 midway through the 1st quarter vs. the Rockets, Bronny had difficulties to score until the end of the match, finishing with 8 points with 3 turnovers.
