Cleveland inked Hunt on Wednesday after the campaign-ending left knee problem to All-Pro Nick Chubb. Kareem will be Jerome Ford‘s reserve, whom the head coach announced will be the team’s 1st choice this campaign.
“Hunt can compete; he’s in great form,” Stefanski shared today of Kareem. “How many minutes and which position he will play in will be determined over the next 2 days. But I think he can help the organization no matter where he plays.”
Hunt had been part of the NFL franchise from Cleveland the previous 4 years but was not re-inked in the summer. While being Chubb’s backup, Kareem rushed for 1,874 yards from 2019 to 2022 with the organization.
“I’m ready to be on the field and triumph. I’m just ready to play and show the fans what I can do,” claimed Kareem after inking his contract on Wednesday.
