Bruno Fernandes has revealed he knew Michael Carrick would make a great head coach after 1st working with him 4 years ago when he was the interim boss of the Red Devils.
The Portuguese superstar scored as Man United defeated Tottenham 2-0 today, earning a 4th victory in 4 games under Michael, who succeeded Ruben Amorim as manager until the end of the campaign.
Bruno set the Red Devils on their way to win by master-minding the corner that led to Bryan Mbeumo scoring the 1st goal of the match, after Spurs were left with 10 men on the pitch. Fernandes scored after Diogo Dalot’s cross as that was the Portuguese’s 6th EPL goal of the campaign and clinched the triumph, which strengthens Michael’s chances of being picked as permanent head coach after the end of the season.
“I believe Carrick came in with the right idea of giving the footballers the freedom to take responsibility on the pitch to make the decisions that were needed. When Michael was our head coach 4 years ago, I knew he could be a great head coach, and I told him, and he showed it.”
