Man United captain Bruno Fernandes has hit out at his team’s lack of progression after a shocking 2-0 loss to newly promoted Hull City. The midfielder shared that the club is repeating the same error that happened in their previous season, as Michael Carrick’s permanent tenure started in the worst way possible.
The club from Old Trafford’s new EPL campaign was shocking as they were defeated 2-0 by Hull City. The new additions during the summer, Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, didn’t impress against the Tigers.
After the end of the game, the Portuguese captain of the Red Devils did not hold back in his words about the performance. “Same mistakes as we did in the past campaign; every away match we give too much of the ball to our opponent,” Bruno started. “In the 1st 20 minutes, the goalkeeper was the 1 with the most touches.
“We didn’t press enough and were not aggressive enough. We knew Hull City would try to score from set pieces, and they did it twice. It’s our fault to allow such goals.”
"Same mistakes as we made last season in every away game. We give the ball away too much."
