The Buffalo Bills must play without a key member of the organization’s defensive backfield for the important Week 4 AFC East game vs. the Miami Dolphins. The franchise has ruled out safety Jordan Poyer for the match as he continues to recover from a knee problem that has kept him out of training this week.
The safety suffered the injury during the franchise’s 37-3 victory against the Washington Commanders this past weekend. Reserve safety and free agent signing this offseason, Taylor Rapp, will replace him.
Rapp has appeared in almost 25% of the organization’s defensive snaps as a 3rd safety or nickel. Taylor has 14 tackles this campaign, which is his 7th straight campaign with Buffalo—and paired with Hyde at safety after re-inking with Bills on a 2-year deal this offseason.
