A Buffalo Bills defense that has crucial players sidelined is getting healthier at the most important part of the season. Manager Sean McDermott shared today that he believes both defensive tackle DaQuan Jones and safety Micah Hyde will be ready to be on the field for the match at the end of the weekend vs. the NE Patriots.
The defensive tackle was put on injured reserve after sustaining a pectoral injury in the team’s Week 5 defeat against the Jaguars in the UK. After beginning his 3-week training window last Tuesday, Buffalo released OL Germain Ifedi yesterday, which cleared a roster spot for DaQuan.
“We aren’t certain whether he’d make it back or not, and I insist on him to work so diligently and then having the motivation to return and play,” the Bills boss shared with the media. “That doesn’t always happen in the NFL. So, I think that reveals who he is and what he thinks of our organization and his teammates.”
You can’t say enough about DaQuan Jones.
On the last year of his contract, he could have easily focused on just rehabbing his injury to help secure a payday.
He busted his ass to come back and try to help his team win a Championship.
