Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen might need to undergo a right foot procedure, but GM Brandon Beane revealed that the surgery would not affect the quarterback’s availability for organized team activities before the beginning of the new campaign.
Josh sustained his foot problem in a Week 16 win against the Browns. The soreness lingered for several weeks after that, and he developed issues with his left knee and right finger in the Bills’ wild-card triumph vs. the Jags.
Buffalo’s general manager didn’t reveal when the QB would undergo the procedure if necessary.
Josh shared he felt good in the week leading up to Buffalo’s AFC divisional round match in Denver over the weekend. Allen struggled mightily in the 33-30 OT defeat, committing 4 of the team’s 5 turnovers.
The GM of the Bills also spoke about the sacking of the head coach, Sean McDermott. Beane claimed that they did that because the organization struck “the proverbial wall” after another early elimination at the playoffs. He claimed that Josh had no input in Sean’s dismissal but shared that the QB will have a crucial role in the search for a new head coach.
