A Jet Ski struck Nyheim, and a procedure may be needed in the future. The player was sitting on a stationary Jet Ski when the accident happened.
The running back has no life-threatening injuries but will need a long time to heal and be able to play. We will likely see him back on the field for the 2024 campaign.
Nyheim was set to join the Bills’ camp as the franchise first choice kick and punt returner and contest with RBs Damien Harris and Latavius Murray, who joined Buffalo during the off-season.
The organization acquired Nyheim from Indianapolis in a deal for RB Zack Moss and a 5th-round selection.
