Calgary Flames player Chris Tanev is out day-to-day with an upper-body problem, the organization shared today.
The veteran (33) suffered the problem only seconds into his franchise’s 6-5 defeat against the Colorado Avalanche yesterday after a collision with Colorado attacker Ross Colton behind the Calgary’s net.
Last night Chris Tanev went down with an injury. This is a Flames fans worst nightmare and something they’ve been worrying about since last offseason.

The defenceman didn’t need assistance to leave the ice but did not play in the match anymore. The Avs’ forward did not receive a penalty on the play.
Chris is in his final campaign of a 3-year, 18 million dollar contract. The Toronto-born defenceman has 1 goal and 7 points in 28 matches since the beginning of the season and is the top Calgary defenceman with a plus-3 rating.
