Canada’s men’s national team climbs to 47th on FIFA rankings

The World Cup winner is in first place for the 1^st time in 6 years. Canadian men’s soccer team that beat Curaçao and Honduras in the CONCACAF Nations League improved from 53^rd to 47^th place.

Argentina won 2 friendly matches weeks ago and went ahead of Brazil, the leaders on FIFA rankings for a whole year. Then, however, Morocco beat them 2-1, and now the Seleção are 3^rd.

France, with his new captain Kylian Mbappé is in the 2^nd place on FIFA rankings after 2 victories in Euro qualifiers against Netherlands and Ireland.

CanMNT is still 4^th in CONCACAF behind the USA, Mexico, and Costa Rica.
