The Montreal Canadiens announced that Alex Newhook will be out for 10 to 12 weeks because of a high ankle sprain. Alex suffered the injury a few days ago when his team faced the Florida Panthers.

The Canadian NHL franchise 1st claimed that Newhook would be assessed for a lower-body problem after crashing awkwardly into the net at the beginning of the 3rd period in the clash against Florida.
The forward has 7 goals and 6 assists in 23 matches since the beginning of the campaign.
Alex was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche during the off-season, and after that, the forward inked a 4-year, 11.6 million dollar deal.
Newhook was selected 16th overall by Avs in the 2019 NHL Draft and has 34 goals and 45 assists in 182 matches during his career in the National Hockey League.
