Canadiens Newhook out 10-12 weeks with ankle problem

The Montreal Canadiens announced that Alex Newhook will be out for 10 to 12 weeks because of a high ankle sprain. Alex suffered the injury a few days ago when his team faced the Florida Panthers.

The Canadian NHL franchise 1^st claimed that Newhook would be assessed for a lower-body problem after crashing awkwardly into the net at the beginning of the 3^rd period in the clash against Florida.

The forward has 7 goals and 6 assists in 23 matches since the beginning of the campaign.

Alex was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche during the off-season, and after that, the forward inked a 4-year, 11.6 million dollar deal.

Newhook was selected 16^th overall by Avs in the 2019 NHL Draft and has 34 goals and 45 assists in 182 matches during his career in the National Hockey League.
