The Vancouver Canucks were triumphant against Chicago Blackhawks 3-0 on Thursday night.
The star of the show turned out to be goaltender Thatcher Demko as he recorded his first shutout since Vancouver’s 4-0 victory over LA Kings on December 6 2021. He made 33 saves in total.

Andrei Kuzmenko, Vitali Kravtsov and J.T. Miller all scored for the Canucks, with defenseman Akito Hirose having two assist to help their team end a pretty negative run of four straight defeats.
“He’s just solid,” coach Rick Tocchet said when asked about Demko’s performance.
“Even some of the saves he made, I think they were grade-A saves, but they’re routine. He just looked big in the net tonight, like nothing was going to get by him.
“Even when they had a couple of backdoor chances, he was there, post to post.”
The Canucks host Calgary on Saturday night, while Blackhawks take on Seattle on Saturday night.
