The Carolina Hurricanes have inked D Tony DeAngelo to a 1-campaign, 1.675 million dollar deal.

The defenseman scored 11 goals and earned 42 points in 70 matches in the past campaign for the Philadelphia Flyers. Tony was bought out by Philadelphia 10 days ago.
DeAngelo was previously part of Carolina for 1 campaign in 2021-22, where he notched 10 goals and earned 51 points in 64 matches and 10 points in 14 postseason matches.
“DeAngelo is an elite offensive defenseman who had a phenomenal campaign with our organization in 2021-22,” Carolina president and GM Don Waddell shared. “We wanted to re-ink him a year ago, and now we’re happy to bring him back to Raleigh.”
A 1st round selection (19th overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 2024 NHL Draft, Tony was sent to the Arizona Coyotes in the summer of 2016, where he played for 1 year. He also was part of the NY Rangers, where he spent 4 years.
In 340 matches in the league, he has notched 45 points and earned 199 points.
