Carolina Hurricanes’ Tony DeAngelo and Nashville Predators’ Tyson Barrie are available for trades as the campaign nears the 2-month mark.
Carolina’s defenceman availability is not new, while Tyson demanded a trade after being made a healthy scratch for 1 match a few days ago.
“Tony DeAngelo has been available for trade for some time, and the market has been soft for him until now. But Tyson Barrie’s trade request is huge,” LeBrun shared on Insider Trading Thursday. “Both power-play players, puck-moving guys, but their roles have been reduced in their organizations. So, nothing is conclusive on either front, according to me.
“But what makes an impression of Tyson Barrie? I don’t think his franchise wants to retain salary on his 4.5-million dollar cap hit, and that makes things very hard for him to be traded.”
