The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially inked forward Marcus Morris Sr. for the remainder of the season, the team announced on Friday.

Morris initially joined the Cavaliers on a 10-day contract on March 18, stepping in to fill gaps left by injuries to key players such as guard Donovan Mitchell (nasal fracture), forward Evan Mobley (ankle), and guard Max Strus (knee). With Mobley’s return to action on Sunday and Strus back on Wednesday, the team solidified their lineup. Mitchell is expected to make a comeback as early as Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.

In his five appearances with the Cavaliers, the 34-year-old Morris has averaged 7.8 points and 3.0 rebounds, showcasing a solid 43.8 percent shooting accuracy from beyond the arc.

This season, Morris has already suited up for two other NBA teams, starting with a 37-game stint with the Philadelphia 76ers before being traded to the San Antonio Spurs in a multi-team deal on February 8. However, Morris and the Spurs agreed to a contract buyout, leading to his release on February 29 without seeing any game time.

Having amassed 825 career appearances across various teams, including the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, and 76ers, Morris boasts career averages of 12.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
