Derrick White was unstoppable from the 3-point line

Derrick White led the Celtics to a second straight win in their Eastern Conference finals against Heat with 24 points, including six 3-poInters. Boston beat Miami 110-97 on Thursday nigh to make the tie 3-2 and close Celtics just one win away from drawing the series.

Marcus Smart had 23 points and five steals, while Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown finished with 21 points apiece to keep alive Boston’s hopes of becoming the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-0 deficit to win a series. Teams previously in that position are 0-150 all-time.

One day after the Florida Panthers punched the franchise’s first ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals since 1996, for the second straight game the other team from the state – Heat were denied a spot in the NBA Finals.

Duncan Robinson had 18 points for the Heat, Bam Adebayo added 16 points and eight rebounds. Jimmy Butler had 14 points, five rebounds and five assists but sat out the final 9:47 of the game. Game 6 is Saturday in Miami.
