Boston Celtics leader Jayson Tatum is expected to make his 2025-26 NBA campaign debut vs. the Mavs tomorrow at TD Garden.
Jayson, whose return comes less than a year after tearing his ACL in Game 4 of the East Conference ½ finals vs. the Knicks, has been upgraded as ready to play, and the star is expected to inform Boston of his final choice ahead of tomorrow’s game.
Tatum has diligently been working on trying to return in the current campaign since he sustained the devastating injury vs. New York. Jayson underwent a procedure at the Hospital for Special Surgery by Dr. Martin O’Malley less than 24 hours after tearing his right Achilles tendon.
The Celtics superstar, who turned 28 two days ago, is a 6-time All-Star, 5-time All-NBA selection – including 4 straight 1st teams from 2022-25 – and a 2-time Olympic gold medal winner. The potential for his return has been an ongoing storyline in the current campaign – 1 that’s only been heightened by the Celtics’ success without him on the court since the beginning of the season.
