Celtics trash Mavericks 107-89 in Game 1 of NBA Finals

Kristaps Porzingis didn’t want to predict how he would feel when he is back on the court in the NBA Finals after he missed more than a month with a calf problem.

However, he seemed the same.

Jaylen Brown notched 22 points, Kristaps helped with 20 points from the bench and the Boston Celtics defeated Dallas Mavericks 107-89 at TD Garden in Boston, MA in Game 1.

Derrick White scored 15 points for the Celtics, which led by 29 points in the 1^st half and notched 16 times from the 3-point line as they showed that they want and can win the franchise’s 18^th NBA trophy.

The center, who hasn’t played since April 29^th, also had 6 boards and 3 blocks in 21 minutes.

“Game 1 showed that I’m still a very good basketball player,” Porzingis shared. “I’m not perfect, but if I play like tonight, I can help Boston to be successful.”

Superstar Jayson Tatum had 16 points and 11 boards. Six basketballers notched double-digits for Boston, who host Game 2 at the end of the weekend.

Luka Doncic finished with 30 points for the Mavericks, and P.J. Washington had 14 points and 8 boards. Dallas failed to notch more than 24 points in any quarter.
