An enthralling match occurred in London

Chelsea and Manchester City ended their clash in a 4-4 draw in what proved to be one of the matches of the season on Sunday night.

The defending champions struck first thanks to a rewarded penalty kick in the 25th minute, calmly converted by Erling Haaland.

However, that caused an immediate response from the Blues, who in a matter of couple of minutes turned the game on its head. Strikes from Thiago Silva and Raheem Sterling ensured a 2-1 lead for the hosts.

Right before the final whistle for the first half Pep Guardiola men struck back through Manuel Akanji to draw the score level.

As the game resumed the Citizens were the far more dangerous team and their efforts were soon rewarded as Erling Haaland found the back of the net again to edge his team ahead.

Chelsea’s form man Nicolas Jackson showed his credential as he brought the Blues back in it with a sublime finish in the 67th minute.

The visitors burst into joy as Rodri seemed to have sealed the 3 points towards the end, but a last-gasp penalty turned the once again as former City player Cole Palmer, ironically denied them the victory with a cool finish deep into stoppage time.

City remain leaders with 28 points, one ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal, while Chelsea continue to linger in 10th position.
